Our Passion

Monticello Houseboat Transportation was founded in 1998 by Randell Dobbs.  The company is located in the epicenter of the houseboating community at Monticello, Kentucky, The Houseboat Capital of the World.  MHBT is a licensed, insured company that employs highly experienced, skilled people with a passion for houseboating.  Many of our employees have worked in the factories that produce the same luxury houseboats and yachts that they now move all over the world.

Our Team

Each move is lead by MHBT's founder Randell Dobbs.  Randell has decades of experience in the houseboat industry and takes his job very seriously.  He has overseen hundreds of moves to all corners of the United States and around the world. Sharon Pittman is the office administrator at Monticello Houseboat Transportation.  She is a Notary Public and prepares each Transportation Agreement Contract.  Sharon is available in the business office Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Each houseboat is handled by our team as if it was their own, pledging nothing less that competent work and care.  Our commitment to customer satisfaction has resulted in many happy repeated customers.  Monticello Houseboat Transportation will work to provide the most professional workmanship and care of your houseboat during the transfer.  Also as a courtesy MHBT will assist you, if needed, to properly operate and maintain your houseboat.

Our Guarantee

Monticello Houseboat Transportation creates a notarized Transportation Agreement Contract for each move.  The Contract provides an assurance that your houseboat will arrive with care and on time.  The employees of MHBT pride themselves on providing professional, quality work as agreed upon in the Transportation Agreement Contract.  You can rest assured that your houseboat will be in the best of hands with Monticello Houseboat Transportation.
